|i want an IKEA.

it's cheap. it's fun. sometimes it's even decent quality. and the closest one is 1000 miles away. personally, i think that's too far. so if anyone else feels the same way, i urge you to go to the IKEA website's customer service section (http://now.ikea-usa.com/contactus/default.asp) and request a Denver store. i just did and got a response saying that they'll note my interest. so i figure if enough Denverites do it, maybe we'll get on their radar and they'll add one here soonish.|
good thinking. I too like IKEA in theory. Although, they will no longer send catalogs to Colorado and even when they did, they wouldn't ship some items in their catalog. So, I put in my vote for a Denver store. So, there 2... does that make a mob?
yeah, i've been wondering about that too. don't they like uis, or what?
Vote number 3 on the site!
We've tried the same thing. We own so many things from Ikea you'd think we used to live near one. Nope... just lots of mail order...
Great idea. I've missed IKEA since moving here.
i was just on the website this afternoon, and sadly, most everything I want is not available online. The nearest store is in CA, I think? Nonsense. Denver is a furniture mecca.
Well, maybe not, but we deserve an IKEA, dammit.
even if it was available, shipping is absurd. there's a couch i want. it's a very simple couch, and only $189. shipping? $195. ridiculous. it's more than the freakin' couch.
Obscene. That's probably why they won't open a store here - more money for them in shipping.
i used to live about two hours from an IKEA. i have a star light from there, among variouse other things. it has to be the coolest store ever, and i say taht in a completley heterosexual way.
They're looking at Lone Tree/Park Meadows area. Maybe in a few years, though. A new store is opening in Utah, so, maybe less shipping cost?
